Trauma is a deeply distressing or disturbing experience. It can be a one off incident or experiences over time. How we manage trauma will be down to the individual, but often, it can negatively impact our life's through unpredictable emotions, flashbacks, strained relationships and even physical symptoms which can affect your health and your happiness.
During our sessions we will explore the trauma you have experienced. Not so you have to relive it all over again, but to desensitise your emotional connection with the experience, enabling you to move forwards with your life.
PTSD - Post- Traumatic Stress Disorder.
PTSD is a condition of persistent mental and emotional stress, usually triggered by a traumatic event where a severe psychological shock has occurred. Like trauma, PTSD can have negative impacts on your health and happiness, through vivid recall of the incident, disturbance of sleep, feeling 'on edge', and having difficulty concentrating. This can often lead to a feeling of being detached from others and the outside world.
During our sessions we will explore your experience with the aim to desensitise your emotional connection to the experience. You will also receive a free relaxation download, enabling you to relax while your unconscious does all the hard work of helping you overcome your trauma.
